Ask Us:

Is it ok to be a little overweight?

Being healthy isn't just about how much you weigh. Being healthy is about doing things like eating nutritious foods, exercising regularly, feeling good about yourself, managing stress, not watching too much TV, and not smoking.

If you are a little overweight but take of yourself by making healthy choices, you may not need to worry about your weight. People who are overweight and eat unhealthy foods, don't exercise, and watch too much TV are at risk for health problems like diabetes. Remember, your behaviors are more important than the number you see on the scale!
