Who We Are
We are three youth advisors from the Greater Boston Area, participating in the Youth Advisory Program at Children's Hospital Boston. We are two high school students and a college student who have been trained to educate our peers about health issues.
What We Do
Peers are Here! |
This Peers are Here map is made possible by a grant from the The Comcast Foundation |
We take field trips to different community organizations in the Boston area, and host youth groups at the Center, so we can provide peer-to-peer education on many teen health topics. Click here to learn more about our presentation topics.
We also surf the web to find reliable health information for you, and evaluate educational pamphlets and videos. We write and publish a quarterly newsletter called Teen Talk — click here to read the latest issue. We also do outreach in our adolescent outpatient clinic and area high schools, and help to staff our Resource Center that is open to the public, Monday-Friday, 1-5pm. You can also e-mail us!
And check out our YAP Blog, where we post all about our experiences and adventures being peer leaders!
